This is how it usually works
You say : “ Hey, I want a video ! “
I say : Do you want a video as a memory ?
You say :” Yeah but Im an old fart and I ski like an Old fart , my kids ski like crazy kids and will want it to look cool
I say : “We edit the video based on the personality of the people we are filming and customize every aspect of how we do things for each individual , providing separate edits where appropriate.”
You Say : “Is 30minutes enough time filming time for a video ? “
I say : Yes, The runs at Whistler Blackcomb are so amazing that within a few minutes you can reach different terrain for everyone. Watching that whole 30 minutes would still probably be awesome for you but the 5 minute version with bonus interviews and out-takes, will trigger all the awesome memories of the holiday. All in HD at 60 frames a second.
You Say : But 30 minutes is not enough time to get around the mountain.
I Say: For some videos. If you want to explore if you want to develop a bond with the client , which I strive to do every time, if you want to utilize some of my knowledge of the mountain, film a few different spots that capture your favorite things about skiing, work on perfect turns, a difficult trick or really nice shots that might take a few goes to get perfect, then I would recommend more time. If there is a large group then you have an option of just doing the one 30minute run on the mountain and then and hour of apres interview, which can be done at a varyingly discounted rate depending on how busy we are after skiing each day.
You Say : How do you edit it ?
We edit with Mac computers using the best editing software . We are able to do a lot of the editing tricks you see in hollywood and welcome any and all ideas. We put a lot of passion but can’t afford as much time as we would want on the edit . If you want to do something more complicated, as far was scripting sketches out or making an additional version of your video to add personality to your business’ social media content.
You Say : What about Music ?
I say : You can put pretty much any music you want on the videos unless it is for commercial use. Then you have to behave and use non copyrighted music. I can find you good songs when required.
You Say : What do I end up with ?
I say : An online copy, a downloadable copy and options for other formats for iphone use.
You Say: Can I get a DVD ?
I Say: DVD manufacturing is pretty bad for the environment, the packaging e.t.c We can do DVD’s but are working to gradually find more environmentally friendly options for our clients .
You Say : Do you mail it to me or can I get it before I leave
I say : We can get most videos ready for clients before they leave, but can’t promise it every time and unfortunately have to charge for shipping and handling.
